Adult Liberal Education: A Case Study in Ambivalence.
Overview & Synopsis
The author argues that there are two strands of liberal education diametrically opposed to each other in key respects: whereas one is concerned with education for the dominant classes, the other is linked to the notion of an equal society. He states that institutions valuing the latter tradition must reassert its importance. A case study is included. (Author/CH)
