Changes in Counselor Education Admissions Criteria.
Overview & Synopsis
Investigated extent of reliance on traditional admission criteria by counselor education programs, addressing current admissions procedures and recent and anticipated changes in procedures in counselor education programs in western United States. Surveyed 32 master's degree programs in counselor education. Found that counselor educators relied heavily on traditional criteria having limited capability of predicting academic or counseling success. (Author/NB)
