Enrollment Issues in Agricultural Education Programs and FFA Membership.
Overview & Synopsis
Factors influencing enrollment in agricultural education and Future Farmers of America were identified in a survey of 540 secondary students in 12 states. Overriding barriers to enrollment were the image of the agriculture profession and perceived future value of agricultural education. Most enrollees are white males whose parents are likely in agriculture-related occupations. (SK)
