The Distances of Education.
Overview & Synopsis
To make rational choices about educational technology, educators must examine the place of technology in institutional change. Technophiles predict a revolution in education, but it is important to separate this enthusiasm, and misconceptions that accompany it, from the realities of higher education. Democratic values should be allowed to operate in both the process and the substance of higher education. (MSE)
