Global Facility to Decarbonize Transport (GFDT) Annual Report 2025
Overview & Synopsis
The 2025 GFDT Annual Report covers January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. Throughout 2025, GFDT-funded activities delivered advisory services to 58 government entities, provided technical assistance or capacity building in 39 countries, and supported the preparation of 20 flagship studies, tools, and strategies. This upstream work helped catalyze six World Bank-financed transport investments under implementation, with three additional operations under preparation—representing $3.6 billion in current and anticipated World Bank lending. These GFDT-supported transport projects demonstrate the multiplier effect of GFDT’s approach: for every $1 disbursed by GFDT, $105 has been mobilized in World Bank financing for transport decarbonization, rising to $328 as projects under preparation advance.
