Overview & Synopsis

This report presents the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) 2023 conducted by Bank ABC in response to national Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) requirements. The assessment draws on the National Money Laundering Risk Assessment, regulatory guidance, and internal bank records to evaluate customer, geographic, product, transaction, delivery channel, and terrorism financing risks. The report highlights that while the national money laundering threat level remains high, Bank ABC's overall risk exposure is assessed as medium-low, supported by a predominantly domestic customer base, limited exposure to high-risk jurisdictions, strong authentication controls, and established AML/CFT compliance measures. The assessment further outlines customer and transaction risk matrices, identifies key vulnerabilities, and details mitigation measures including customer due diligence, record keeping, suspicious transaction reporting, staff screening, and training programs. The report serves as a framework for strengthening risk-based supervision and enhancing the institution’s AML/CFT control environment.
