Women in Mining Success Lab: Lessons Learned Report
Overview & Synopsis
The WIM Success Lab project was developed to operationalize findings of the Impactful Women: Examining Opportunities and Constraints for Women in Mining Organizations Worldwide1 report, and to strengthen the operational capacity and on-the-ground impact of Women in Mining (WIM) Organizations globally. Guided by a Theory of Change (ToC), the project sought to empower WIM Organizations to lead the WIM agenda in their countries, increase their visibility as stakeholders, improve their internal governance, and support inclusive, gender-sensitive mining practices. The project developed 15 online courses across four modules: governance, leadership, financial management, and technical knowledge. Courses were made available in English, French, and Spanish, and accessible to WIM Organization leaders and members, as well as made publicly accessible via the World Bank Group’s Open Learning Campus (OLC) platform.
