Overview & Synopsis

The objective of the Integrated Social Protection Services Project is to strengthen Tunisia’s social protection system to deliver integrated social services to poor and vulnerable households through improved digital systems, communication, and capacity building. Improved delivery of integrated social services will be achieved through (i) enhancements to the social protection digital platform that would facilitate the tasks of social workers; and (ii) improvements of the conditions in local offices where beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries seeking social support are hosted. The delivery of social services will also be enhanced through communication campaigns on the available social protection services, and training of social workers to use the new systems developed with the project’s support. The project consists of four key components: (a) development of an integrated social protection digital platform to enhance data systems and interoperability; (b) strengthening social service delivery through improved infrastructure and equipment; (c) implementation of information and awareness campaigns to increase access and understanding of services; and (d) project management and coordination to support effective implementation, monitoring, and capacity building.
