Planning for a Performance-Based Teacher Education Program: A Final Report.
Overview & Synopsis
During 1971-72, the College of Education of the University of Toledo undertook the planning for the revision of the entire undergraduate teacher education program in the areas of secondary and elementary education. It was decided that the program should be performance based and interdisciplinary and should unite the urban educational institutions and agencies to effect significant educational innovation. Key elements of the program include interdisciplinary team teaching, modularized objectives, and full implementation. (Appendixes include Program Review and Evaluation Technique (PERT) materials; module format; sample instructional modules; and miscellaneous reports, reviews, and memoranda.) (Authors/JA)
