The Effectiveness of Medical Education: Eight Research Reports.
Overview & Synopsis
Eight studies are reported that were published during the 1970s and found changes in physician behavior as a result of continuing medical education (CME) organized on sound educational principles, including systematic effort to evaluate program effectiveness and learner achievement. Didactic instruction alone is not deemed sufficient to achieve desired goals and objectives. (Author/MLW)
