The objective of Fifth Phase of the Brazil Proactive Safe and Resilient Road Asset Management Program Project is to improve access to sustainable, safe, and resilient transport in the State of Sergipe. There are five components to the project, the first component being proactive road asset management based on long-term CREMA: design, rehabilitation and maintenance of selected roads through CREMA agreements. This component includes two subcomponents: proactive, safe, and resilient road asset management through long-term, and structuring and implementation of CREMA-PPP for Long-Term Safe and Resilient Road Management. The second component is the Institutional strengthening for sustainability of road asset management, road safety, climate resilience, and decarbonization. This component consists of TA, studies, training, and the acquisition of goods to strengthen institutional capacity in key areas related to transport sector sustainability. The third component is the safe and resilient road works. This component includes two subcomponents: improvements to urban crossings and pedestrian mobility (São Cristovao, and Laranjeiras) and safe routes to schools, and Rural access infrastructure in local roads. Finally, the fourth component is the project management. This component will support the management, coordination, and implementation of the project, providing the SoS with necessary human capital. Individual consultants will be engaged to facilitate document preparation, project implementation, and the MEL agenda.
